What is the difference between AI Overviews and AI Mode?

AI Overviews are the AI summary Google shows above classic results for some searches. AI Mode is Google's conversational search experience, with fuller answers and its own set of citations. Sight tracks both separately and rolls them into one score.

How is the visibility score weighted?

Google rankings count for 50, AI answers from models such as ChatGPT and Perplexity for 30, AI Mode for 10 and AI Overviews for 10, so the score reflects where discovery actually happens today.

How do you know we were cited?
